Kara Templeton is an interior designer and decorative artist based in Florence, Italy. Born in Washington, D.C., she spent more than a decade in residential renovation in the United States, working in construction and interiors. She founded Kara Templeton Design in 2024 so clients wouldn't have to choose between beautiful spaces and a realistic plan for building them.

The studio offers design for renovations, single-room concepts, and interior styling, along with original decorative painting and murals that Kara paints herself. Whenever possible, she works with what clients already own, from heirlooms and vintage furniture to existing materials. She believes the most layered homes are built over time, rather than purchased all at once.
