Kara Templeton was born and raised in Washington, DC. In her third year at Wellesley College, she traveled to Florence, Italy, to study painting, sculpture and art history. Her time abroad influenced a body of work exploring concepts of travel, the limitations of language, cartography, and expressions of physical space. Kara's designs make the visceral, visual, with the flexibility of multiple mediums.
Passionate about building creative small businesses into brands that grow in all directions, Kara is about big picture thinking coupled with keen attention to detail. She approaches work with clients in the spirit of collaboration, and believes local authenticity and national recognition are compatible.
Kara currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Giampiero, their son, Matteo, and dog, Enzo.
